KENDAL MODEL RAILWAY CLUB

We have several layouts, in 4mm and 7mm scales, listed below. Click the photo's for more images.

We enjoy taking them to exhibitions. To request further details about any layout please contact us.

Rushen Valley Railway:

Our modular O gauge layout which usually depicts a preserved railway. It can be exhibited as separate layouts -  Maidenhaiste Station and Broadhurst Works - or joined together, with additional scenic boards, to become the Rushen Valley Railway. Many combinations are possible.

Dalehead:

A large 00 gauge, all round viewing layout, set in the Yorkshire Dales. This layout is currently under construction.

Polveryan:

A 00 gauge c.1948-50 Western Region seaside branchline terminus, bequeathed to the Club by its builder. We are nearing completion of this layout's refurbishment, including the addition of a small creamery.

KMRC Past Layouts:

Here you can see some of the Club's previous layouts that are now no longer with us. These include Askrigg Bank, the 'Shed Layout' and others.

LAYOUTS

Scorbiton:

A 00 gauge layout, depicting a secondary main line crossing the River Severn, set in the 1980s. Incorporating impressive viaducts and a dramatic town scene, the layout was featured in the June and July 2015 Railway Modeller.

Woodley:

An O gauge layout originally built by John Watson. Now being completely refurbished and rebuilt to represent a modest terminus in the North West.
